
- The overall objective of this study was to build on our prior research to better understand the experiences and psychosocial wellbeing of grandparent caregivers in Uganda, and to address the most pressing challenges they face.
- Specific Aims are:
- AIM 1: To engage community partners to inform the design of a culturally tailored, multicomponent intervention for grandmother caregivers in Uganda, ensuring the program reflects community needs and priorities.
- AIM 2: To develop the intervention components based on insights from Aim 1 and through an iterative feedback process with community partners.
- AIM 3: To pilot the multicomponent intervention to evaluate acceptability, feasibility, and preliminary implementation outcomes among Ugandan grandmother caregivers aged 50 years and older (N = 5).
